Kirkham-based Croft Goode Architects has completed its latest project after delivering a scheme of 21 new homes in Rochdale.
The affordable homes, a mix of bungalows and two-storey houses, have revitalised a vacant 1.3 acre site on the corner of Wood Street and Mosedale Road in the Langley area of the town. The two, three and four-bedroom properties have been delivered on behalf of social housing provider Riverside which has made the homes available for affordable rent.
David Croft, a director of Croft Goode Architects, said: “This scheme has delivered high-quality housing and complements other housing regeneration going on in the wider area. The homes use sustainable materials and technologies throughout and have been designed to have large windows in main rooms to make the most of natural light.”Justine Gore, development manager for Riverside, said: “Our new homes in Rochdale showcase a variety of much needed affordable rented houses and bungalows. The scheme is also contributing to the regeneration of the Langley estate bringing brown field sites back into use.” Croft Goode is also working with Riverside to develop another 20 properties for affordable rent on a site on the nearby Helvellyn Drive.
