Creative Lancashire has organised a programme of free talks and panel debates to coincide with Blackburn's National Festival of Making, which takes place on the weekend of June 14 to 16.
The annual festival takes over the streets of Blackburn with music, markets, street food, art, performance, tours and talks designed to celebrate the UK's output: from factory floor to the kitchen table.
Of the 40,000 people visiting the 2018 festival, 10,800 took part in over 100 workshop sessions, engaging with makers as diverse as leatherworkers, engineers, ceramicists, chefs, technologists and fashion designers.
