Granby Marketing Services has selected Charities@SAMS as one of its charity for 2018 and there was no better time to announce the news than at the launch of its annual Easter Challenge.
Charities@SAMS collects and donates items to some of the most vulnerable members of our community and relies on the generous support of local suppliers, businesses and partners to ensure success. The project comes under the Community & Business Partners (CBP) umbrella; a non-profit making organisation established to support businesses, community groups and voluntary bodies with a range of services.
Each year, their Easter Challenge and Christmas Wishes Appeal distributes thousands of welcome gifts to some 30 local charities and smaller, yet equally important projects, are ongoing throughout the year.Suzanne Kay, of Granby Marketing Services, said: “We are really quite humbled by everything that Charities@SAMS does for a huge proportion of the Lancashire community.
“They rely on companies like ours to support and spread the word about their activities and we are proud to be sponsoring them this year.“We’ll certainly be doing our bit to collect Easter eggs for the challenge and ask fellow Lancashire businesses to do the same. We will continue our support throughout the year.”
The Easter Challenge is a positive way in which employers and residents can contribute to their local community by donating Easter eggs for Charities@SAMS to distribute to vulnerable children teens and families.Joanne Mason, from SAMS, said: “The support we receive each year is fantastic; one company alone collected over 1000 eggs last year and in total we collected almost 3000.
“We have decorated containers ready to be delivered to any business who wants to get involved; we’ll deliver and pick up, all they need to do is fill them!”Amanda Meachin, of CBP, added: “We really are so very grateful for any donation big or small; it really does mean a lot to those who received these gifts; so thank you all so much in advance.
