Two entrepreneurs behind one of the biggest acquisitions in Lancashire of the last 12 months will share their experiences at a special event looking in detail at the process of buying a business.
John Flood and Paul Fox of Blackpool-based Fox Brothers are among ten guest speakers set to share insight and advice at Lancashire Business View’s Doing The Deal event on Tuesday, 26 January from 10am to 12pm.
They will give behind-the-scenes insight into the acquisition of Clive Hurt Plant Hire, which made headlines in 2020 when it created one of the biggest players in its industry.
The virtual event, viewable through Zoom, will also feature two panel debates seeing business owners, professionals and advisors discuss a variety of key themes including: identifying and assessing the right opportunities, guidance on the money, investment and the legal elements, and discussing what works in the negotiating arena.
With all our guests, we’ll be seeking strategic insight and tactical acumen: expertise and experience that can inspire our viewers and readers.
Panellists will represent the professionals and entrepreneurs actively involved in doing deals. Confirmed contributors so far include:
- Mark Gibbons, senior access to finance specialist at Access 2 Finance
- Tim Mills, partner at Azets
- Benjamin Dredge, managing partner at CG Professional
- Paul Harper, Sales and marketing director of Daish’s
- Janine Murray, mergers and acquisitions director of Daisy Communications
- Paul Ainscough, director of Eden Play
- Matthew Hirst, CEO of Utiligroup
- Wayne Wild, commercial director of WEC Engineering
The conference is to be hosted by Lancashire Business View magazine in support of its annual Doing The Deal Report. The event is being supported by sponsors Access 2 Finance, Azets and CG Professional.
Places can now be booked online at https://bit.ly/DTD2021 and attendees to the event will also be able to network once the feature presentations have concluded.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “All signs point to 2021 being a big year for doing deals. For some this is a major milestone, for others this could be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Our event caters for all buyers and potential buyers and gives everyone who attends the opportunity to learn from those who’ve been there and done it themselves.
“I am delighted with the calibre of the panel we have brought together for this special event. We’ll be able to discuss every element of the deal-making process from a variety of viewpoints and with Fox Brothers on board, we’re able to share first-hand insight from one of the biggest deals of the last year.”
