Preston headquartered Cortus Advisory Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Charlotte Harrington to the position of corporate finance director, further strengthening the firm’s corporate finance team.
Cortus Advisory Group has grown significantly across regions and services lines over the past year and has seen increased demand for its Corporate Finance offering, which was launched formally to market in April 2024.
Charlotte’s promotion is a testament to her outstanding contribution to establishing and growing the corporate finance offering, reflecting Cortus’ ongoing commitment to recognising and nurturing exceptional talent within the organisation.
Charlotte brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously worked at Cowgills across lead advisory, business valuations, financial modelling and internal finance.
Since joining Cortus in 2022, Charlotte has played a key role in developing the team and shaping the firm’s market strategy, positioning Cortus as a go-to advisor of choice for midmarket transactions.
The team’s track record in executing complex transactions further underscores its expertise within the market.
Recent successes include the strategic sale of technology innovator LociLabs to Clearway Group (backed by Next Wave) and the investment into Pure Energy Go by Finance Yorkshire.
These transactions highlight the team’s ability to navigate the intricacies of deals while delivering optimal outcomes for clients.
Looking ahead, the team is poised for continued success, with a strong pipeline of sell-side mandates across a broad range of sectors.
Currently managing active sales mandates valued at over £110 million, the team is set to deliver several of these transactions imminently.
Nicola Merritt, CEO of Cortus Advisory Group said: “Congratulations to Charlotte, on her well-deserved promotion.
"I am confident that she will succeed in building on the team’s success to date and driving forward our Corporate Finance offering in the North West. We continue to have ambitious plans and this new chapter is an exciting opportunity.”
