Skelmersdale-based CoreRFID has secured a new contract with lifting, load control and safety consultancy SpanSet Italy, the company's first in the country.
CoreRFID specialises in asset management software and the new arrangement will see it develop a tailored system which issues safety certificates within minutes.
The system will be based on its IDXpert Net automated reporting system, which is being customised to Italian and the working processes used by the Turin-based firm.
IDXpert Net, which replaces a manual system, enables inspections to be recorded on site using a tablet. The data is then automatically uploaded to a secure cloud-based database and is accessible to customers online. IDXpert Net, which will be in place in January, reduces administration time while improving the accuracy of inspection reports
CoreRFID recently supplied solutions for other SpanSet International Group companies in Australia, Spain, the USA as well as the UK.
IDXpert Net is based on CoreRFID’s CheckedOK, which is a market leader in the UK and Ireland for inspection and asset management in the construction and heavy lifting sectors.
Richard Harrison, CoreRFID technical sales director, said: "We’ve built a great reputation and client base globally through adapting our tried and tested technology to the specific needs of lifting companies.
"We’re aiming to replicate that success by offering the same commercial advantages to many other users. The projects we’ve delivered for the SpanSet Group show how we can help lifting and crane to improve their processes and in turn their profitability."
