Just weeks before the release of Lancashire Business View’s 100th issue, we’re delighted to look back at our first ever issue from March 2005 and speak with some of the advertisers that have been with us along the journey.
Established in 1919, PM+M is a leading chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management firm with offices across the North West. PM+M have also been advertisers in Lancashire Business View since issue 1.
Jane Parry, managing partner at PM+M shares her experience working with Lancashire Business View over the years.
LBV: How did your business first get involved with Lancashire Business View magazine?
JP: PM+M has been involved with Lancashire Business View since the beginning and we’re incredibly proud to have been regular advertisers and ongoing supporters ever since. It’s been fantastic to witness their continued growth throughout this time and we’re grateful that we have been able to play a role in that.
LBV: What changes have you seen in the Lancashire business community since being involved with Lancashire Business View when it started in 2005?
JP: Advances in technology have revolutionised the Lancashire business community, creating agile and innovative organisations who are able to adapt to changes in the business environment much more quickly. The last 18 months in particular have undoubtedly been a period of change for us all, but despite the disruptions brought about by the pandemic, we have witnessed nothing but optimism from business owners who have worked tirelessly to continue to support their customers, employees and communities.
LBV: How has your business changed in this time?
JP: Since Lancashire Business View launched their first edition in 2005, PM+M has grown rapidly, hit some exciting milestones (including our 100th year in 2019!) and achieved lots of things that we’re really proud of. Like many businesses, PM+M has had to adapt to keep up with the changing business landscape in recent years, but our deep roots and commitment to Lancashire have allowed us to continue supporting our valued clients and helping them achieve more.
LBV: Do you feel Lancashire Business View benefits Lancashire? And if so, how?
JP: Absolutely. With a fantastic reach across our county, Lancashire Business View provides a strong platform for businesses to showcase their skills, build their brand and make their mark in the business community.
LBV: How do you feel that your involvement with Lancashire Business View has benefited your business?
JP: With Lancashire Business View having many thousands of readers and social media followers, we have found our experience of being involved as a supporter incredibly positive; LBV has provided a platform for PM+M to expand our network, build brand awareness and of course add value to readers through sharing our insights and knowledge.
LBV: Do you have any words of advice for businesses who may be looking to get involved with Lancashire Business View in the future?
JP: As a magazine that welcomes businesses of all sizes from a variety of industries, I have no doubt that Lancashire Business View can offer some great opportunities to businesses looking to get involved. My advice would be to just get in touch with the team at LBV who will happily talk you through their plan for the next 12 months to see whether any of their upcoming features are the right fit for you.
Since the magazine launched in 2005, it has steadily grown and become a trusted source of news and advice for Lancashire’s business community.
