The Community Foundation for Lancashire has hosted its first annual dinner of Lancashire Investors in Community.
Edwin Booth, executive chairman of E H Booth & Co, hosted the event which welcomed prominent, diverse and civic-minded businesses from across the county.
The evening featured presentations and captivating dinner conversations about the initiative.
Edwin Booth also led a panel discussion with three of the Founding Lancashire Investors; Dawn Cheetham of CKS Catering, Graham Gordon of Moore & Smalley and Ram Gupta of Nybble.
They highlighted the positive benefits of supporting the Community Foundation for Lancashire by becoming Lancashire Investors, not only to their businesses but primarily to the most vulnerable in Lancashire communities.
Rae Brooke, CEO, Community Foundation for Lancashire said: "Lancashire Investors in Community offers businesses a tangible way of demonstrating their support for the Community Foundation for Lancashire to continue their delivery of support to many grassroots community groups and charities, across the county.
"This investment will support work to make an impactful, sustainable and positive difference to those most in need throughout Lancashire."
Edwin particularly thanked the current investors for their generous support to date and encouraged others in the room to become involved and do the same.
He said: "Booths are committed to supporting local people and communities and views Lancashire Investors in Community as a way of being a catalyst for greater investment in Lancashire."
Current Lancashire investors include: Booths, United Utilities, Marsden Building Society, Browsholme Hall, CKS Catering Equipment, Dewlay, DSM Accountants, Harrison Drury, James Hall & Co Ltd, Kim De Vine Financial Planning, MHA Moore & Smalley, Nybble, Obas, Panaz Holdings, Sales Geek, Star Tissue UK , Workhouse Marketing, Backhouse Jones, The Eric Wright Group and The Business Network.
Six businesses during the evening indicated their desire to become part of the Lancashire Investors in Community Initiative, they include; Envirosystems, Nori HR, Makin Lightin, AMRC NW, Barton Grange, Keyfleet.
