For both Automated Handling Solutions (AHS) and Advanced Material Processing (AMP), the newly formed material handling and processing companies from Chicago-based private equity investment firm, May River Capital, this year’s PPMA show was a huge success that delivered on a number of fronts, not least in generating significant interest in the new partnerships and their impressive combined product portfolios.
AHS, a leading provider of automation solutions and specialised material handling equipment, comprising of Spiroflow and Cablevey Conveyors, and AMP, the integration of Kason Corporation and Marion Process Solutions, showcased an array of material processing equipment and solutions on stand F24 at the event, held on 27-29 September at Birmingham’s NEC. Their 54m² joint stand, representing the brands of all four companies and their joint competencies, offered visitors a chance to see new machinery in action, evaluate and purchase the latest technology, as well as discuss products with technical experts from both AHS and AMP.
Of particular interest was Spiroflow’s universal T2 bulk bag unloader, being displayed alongside an industry stalwart, the flexible screw conveyor. Sister company, Cablevey, demonstrated their enclosed tubular drag conveyor, ideal for moving materials in a safe, clean and efficient manner, while nearby, AMP’s Kason were kept busy throughout the show fielding enquiries on their CENTRI-SIFTER™ and VIBROSCREEN®, a circular vibratory screener and separator.
“For our first UK coming together for both AHS and AMP, the PPMA show provided an excellent platform to showcase our combined approach,” said Andy Forrester, Spiroflow’s VP of sales. “The stand was incredibly busy throughout the three days, giving a perfect opportunity to catch up with existing customers and discuss our comprehensive product portfolios with new contacts. For us, the event was highly productive.”
