Employers in east Lancashire will be given advice on how to deal with bullying in the workplace at a special forum.
Mark Makin, from the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS), and Joanne Pickering, Head of HR, Training and Quality at Forbes Solicitors, will lead an interactive discussion entitled ‘When is Bullying Not Bullying?’
Richard Bartlett, head of distribution for the National Employment Savings Trust Corporation, will also deliver a presentation on the 2012 Work Pension Reforms, which will affect every business and employee in the UK.
Chair of the group Joanne Pickering said: “Cases of bullying in the workplace are becoming more and more commonplace and they often get taken to a tribunal.
“The definition of bullying is based on the perception of the person on the receiving end so what might be bullying to one person, is not necessarily bullying to somebody else.
The forum, which includes a buffet lunch, is taking place at the Enterprise Centre in Furthergate, Blackburn, between 11.45am and 2pm on Tuesday, March 1.
