A Colne-based independent financial adviser appeared in The Times newspaper after being voted one of the top 200 in his field within the UK.
Darren Turner, co-director of Indigo Financial Advice Ltd, in Albert Road, achieved his place in the listing following high praise from clients.Darren, who has some 20 years’ experience in the industry, said: “There are over 20,000 independent financial advisers in the UK, so I’m thrilled to be in the VouchedFor.co.uk Top 200.
“What makes it even more special is that I’ve been selected thanks to a wealth of client testimonials, which, in itself, is a great honour. The fact that they’ve gone out of their way to support me and vouch for my services means a lot, and I would like to thank them all.”Darren set up Indigo with fellow director Craig Reaney in 2005, when, after going from a large organisation to a small IFA, they decided to use their shared passion for the sector to start up on their own. They currently have over £20m of clients’ funds under management.
The father-of-two said: “While we admit that talking about how to look after your money isn’t ‘sexy’, with the growing pension and savings gap UK-wide, planning your financial future is more important than ever.“In a nutshell that’s what financial advice is all about – making sure you make the most out of your hard earned cash, and are not left short of funds in retirement or on a rainy day.”
Darren was selected for The Times feature as a result of local clients reviewing and rating his services on consumer ratings website VouchedFor.co.uk. The site, which enables people looking for financial advice to find a recommended IFA, works very much like the popular travel rating website, TripAdvisor.
