Catterall-based Collinson Construction has completed the build of a £2.1m arts and music teaching centre at Morecambe Bay Academy.
The 9,500 sq ft building includes classrooms, office space and communal areas, and was made in the factory before being craned into position at the site.
Angela Livesey, director of business and finance at Morecambe Bay Academy, added: "For us this project is the centrepiece of a much wider transformation project to create 21st century facilities at Morecambe Bay.
"The Arts and Music Centre has provided an exciting and innovative space for student creativity and one that will serve Morecambe children for many generations to come."
Rob Duxbury, managing director at Collinson Construction, hopes the project would be a catalyst for further building projects on the company's doorstep in Lancashire in addition to its work across the UK.
He said: "Our first projects were in the sports and leisure and industrial sectors and we quickly became known nationally for this sector expertise. This part of our business continues to grow, but we’re also seeing growth locally too by getting involved in more traditional main contracting projects.
"We’ve invested heavily in our team to give us a wide range of construction expertise. We want to do more in Lancashire, both as modular construction experts, but also as a traditional contractor by building relationships with the county’s property community and professionals."
Rob added: "We’re proud of what we’ve achieved working in partnership with Morecambe Bay Academy. Our team has delivered a high-quality building in a short space of time, helping the academy to meet one if it’s key objectives of creating inspiring new teaching spaces."
