Collinson Construction has earned a place as a preferred supplier on the £1.6bn NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Framework for Modular Buildings.
Collinson specialises in modular construction, which is where buildings are manufactured off-site in individual sections and then put together on site to form complete buildings. The company has been awarded framework ‘lots’ for bespoke modular buildings, modular healthcare units, and modular education units.
The Catterall-based business is one of just 29 contractors to be named as an approved supplier on the four-year framework, which means that it can be awarded projects directly from public sector organisations without the need for a further competitive process.
The team will be able to bid directly for modular building projects with organisations in the NHS, ‘blue-light’ services, schools, universities, and local authorities.
As well as directly awarded projects, other benefits of being a supplier on the framework include access to dedicated NHS SBS contract managers and framework marketing resources.
Rob Duxbury, managing director of Collinson Construction, said: "Our modular division is going from strength to strength, and we’re thrilled our growing expertise in this area has been recognised by NHS SBS.
"Being on this framework opens up a much wider customer base for us and will significantly speed up the procurement process for modular buildings. It means we will generate new opportunities and help our clients create energy-efficient buildings that can be delivered quickly and cost-effectively."
