Blackpool and the Fylde College's Fleetwood Nautical Campus has won a tenth Maritime and Coastguard Agency Officer Trainee of the Year award - and hosted a special dinner to celebrate.
Past winners and selected representatives from the maritime industry attended the special event at the college's Level 6 restaurant.
The dinner honoured all of the winners, even those who could not attend due to their demanding roles at sea.
Kathryn Neilson, director of the Merchant Navy Training Board, paid tribute to the winners, and Ajit Jacob, chief examiner and head of seafarer technical delivery at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, also commended the recipients, emphasising the excellence they have demonstrated.
This event not only celebrated the individual successes of Fleetwood Nautical Campus alumni but also highlighted the broader impact of their contributions to the maritime industry. The continued recognition of Fleetwood alumni with such a prestigious award reinforces the campus's reputation as a leading institution for maritime education and training.
