Blackburn-based IT specialist CMS Group is to continue its work in the hospitality field, winning IT support contracts with QHotels and Zhotels.
QHotels has 27 beautiful 4 and 5 star hotels, conference venues and resorts throughout the UK (No.1 UK Hotel Chain from Which?). Zhotels is a new concept founded by Bev King former COO of Thistle Hotels in 2011, running at a constant capacity of 95%.Both Zhotels and QHotels are experiencing rapid growth which brought on the need for CMS Group to provide a full service desk.
The complete wrap-around IT support package places CMS as the single point of contact and ownership, for all issues including 3rd parties which is especially important to the end user who may not understand where the fault may lie. This enables management to focus on the bigger picture having confidence that CMS facilitates IT to help drive the business forward.
David Kelly, IT director at QHotels, said: “I am impressed with the team of engineers that are assisting us with the roll out. Without a shadow of a doubt, had we engaged ‘standard’ engineers we would have struggled to complete this project within the time constraints put upon us. As a company CMS has obviously decided that recruitment based on a ‘can do’ attitude is as important as the IT skills of a particular engineer and for this they should be commended.”The company won its first IT contract with The DeVere Group 20yrs ago ago and has long-standing relationships with the likes of Marriott Hotels and The Belfry Hotel. Joanne Stanford, IT director at The DeVere Group, said: “CMS is a strong partner that is able to provide technical consultancy, as well as implementation and subsequent support. They are specialists in their field which makes it easier to work with them. They also understand what we are trying to do and take away the support issues, enabling us to concentrate on the big picture of ensuring the IT is adding real value to the business.”
