A Clitheroe pub has undergone a £217,000 renovation project, with local MP Nigel Evans invited along to hear about the transformation.
The owner of The Dog & Partridge in Clitheroe invited the MP for Ribble Valley to tour the revitalised premises and to speak with the team.
Steve Read, the pub's operator, shared details of the investment, including the pub’s new name, the introduction of a regular entertainment and sports offering, and a new look to the inside and outside.
He said: “Our investment has completely transformed the pub and made it such a wonderful space for customers to come and relax with friends and family.
"Sport has been a big hit since reopening, and it was great to tell Nigel about all the live matches we show each week, along with what entertainment we provide for the community to come and get involved with.”
"The community of Clitheroe have been so supportive since we opened the doors, and it is great to see them making the Dog & Partridge a space of their own. Nigel was very pleased to hear about all the great things we do and have going on, and it was a pleasure to be able to host him and look forward to when he next comes in.”
Nigel Evans MP said: “My visit to the Dog & Partridge was great, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Steve and the team and finding out more about this brilliant local business.
"I think the venue’s new look is wonderful and it was great to hear about all that was done during its investment. Steve and the team are doing a great job at creating a space for everyone in Ribble Valley and keeping high standards. I look forward to my next visit to the Dog & Partridge.”
