A Leyland cleaner has polished up her reputation with an award for five-star customer feedback from Lancashire County Council.
Leyland-based Christine Maclellan, who set up her own business, Abracadabra Cleaning, in March 2012 has been selected and presented as a winner with the Safe Trader Award for 2013.The scheme is operated by Help Direct in partnership with LCC and aims to help people in Lancashire find traders for property repairs, home improvements and also domestic services such as cleaning, laundry and shopping delivery.
Christine said: “As a ‘Safe Trader’ I have to ask my customers to fill in feedback forms which go directly back to the Scheme organisers. Their comments are then published on the website as a reference for potential customers. I have been surprised and delighted by their really positive five star references.“I am a one-woman business but often take my husband Gordon along if the work needs a second pair of hands. We always try to go the extra mile and give great service and value for money. Our customers become friends, I was thrilled to get this award, it underlines everything I have tried to achieve since going self-employed.”
One Abracadabra customer commented: “Christine and Gordon are totally professional, reliable and trustworthy. Very thorough, always punctual, very detailed and do an exceptional job. Nothing is ever too much trouble for either of them. Great people to have help from.”The Safe Trader Team declared: “We thank you for your hard work and ongoing commitment to the Safe Trader Scheme. Your membership represents a valuable contribution to assisting people in Lancashire to find reputable local traders and prevents them from being ripped-off by rogues.”
