More than £12,000 was raised during a charity clay pigeon shoot organised by Napthens solicitors recently.
Teams from 18 local businesses, including Bowker BMW, Kitchener 2000, Ludlow Wealth Management Group, KPMG and HSBC, competed in the event at the Coniston Hotel and Country Estate in Skipton.
The shoot – for beginner and expert shooters – was followed by a three course lunch, charity auction and awards ceremony at the estate’s Huntsman Lodge.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Blackburn Youth Zone, which works to improve prospects for young people in the town. The good cause is the chosen charity of Napthens solicitors’ East Lancashire office in Blackburn.
Oliver McCann, head of Napthens’ East Lancashire office, who organised the event with Napthens’ head of Real Estate, Jamie Allison, said: “The Youth Zone is an extremely good cause and we’re all passionate about supporting and helping the charity to raise funds so it can continue shaping the futures of young people in the local community.” Each year staff at Napthens arrange and take part in numerous fundraising activities. Last year, the firm helped the Blackburn Youth Zone raise £2,400.
