2021 was another year filled with uncertainty, in the motor trade there was (and still is) a new car supply issue delaying orders. However, despite all of the challenges, Blackburn Audi, Preston Audi and Volkswagen Van Centre Lancashire who are both part of the family owned motor group, Swansway, are delighted to have continued their support of charitable organisation, Circus Starr.
The Congleton based charity understands that attending mainstream events can be difficult when attending with children with additional needs or for families facing difficult circumstances. So have created a touring, ‘tut-free’ circus with the aim that every child can experience a touch of magic.
The group with dealerships throughout the North West and Midlands donate £20 to Circus Starr with every Motability vehicle order this of couse includes Audi Motability and VW Vans Motability. The relationship began back in January 2016, and 5 years later, the total amount donated stands at an incredible £88,600.
Sarah Hall, communications and engagement manager at Circus Starr commented: “The pandemic has had an impact on us and we have had to adapt our shows to make sure everyone is kept safe, happy and healthy. We rely solely on donations from companies like Swansway Group to keep us running and during the national lockdowns, their support was greatly appreciated.
"Not only do their donations ensure that we offer a safe environment, but also help us share our magical show with those most deserving! Their contribution helps to fund the tickets of disadvantaged families so that they can make precious memories together after a difficult couple of years."
Swansway Group director David Smyth added: “Hitting the five-year milestone of support of Circus Starr is something we are hugely proud of. During this time, we have helped over 4,000 families enjoy a day out together and that is something that really does make us smile."
