CG, one of the North West’s leading commercial law firms, has strengthened its Employment Law team with the appointment of Andy Halpin as Partner.
Andy joins CG with nearly two decades of experience in employment law, bringing a wealth of expertise gained from both private practice and in-house roles.
Previously a partner at Forbes Solicitors, Andy led a successful team of legal professionals and built a reputation for delivering exceptional client service.
He also has experience working in-house which gave him invaluable insight into the challenges businesses face daily - insight that continues to shape his pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
Andy will have a particular focus on expanding the team and client base both regionally and nationally. He is eager to build on the firm’s remarkable success and contribute to its continued growth.
Andy said: “I am delighted to take this opportunity - this is the most exciting role and opportunity I have had to date.
“The growth of CG since its inception has been phenomenal, and my goal is to continue that trajectory by delivering high-quality work, supporting the team, and reinforcing the firm’s reputation for excellence.
“The quality of clients, the calibre of work, and the strength of the team here are outstanding - especially for what is still considered a relatively young firm. The fixed-fee model ensures clients have budgetary certainty, and our exceptional client service means they are never left chasing for updates. It’s a fantastic way to practise law, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
Heather Aust, partner and head of Employment at CG, said: “Andy is a fantastic addition to the team, and we are thrilled to have him on board. His expertise, leadership, and commercial mindset align perfectly with CG’s ethos. As we continue to grow, having someone of Andy’s calibre will be instrumental in taking our employment practice to the next level.”
