Chorley law firm CG has appointed Karen Piontek as a new partner and the head of its growing commercial property department.
Karen has more than 20 years of experience and has worked across Lancashire and North Manchester, most recently at Pearsons Solicitors & Financial Advisers LLP where she was head of the commercial property team.
She specialises in all aspects of commercial property including the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property, pension fund acquisitions, development set up and plot sales, utility agreements, title rectification, agricultural land and bank finance and corporate support, acting on behalf of a variety of clients ranging from investors, liquidators, SMEs, lenders, partnerships, charities and private individuals.
Stacey Turner who co-founded CG with Louise Myers said: “Karen’s pragmatism and excellent communication skills, meant she had built up a reputation within the professional sector for providing clients with a meticulous, thorough service. Her refreshing, proactive approach has already gone down well with our clients and we’re extremely pleased to have her on board.”
Karen said: “When I was approached by Stacey Turner, Managing Partner, for the opportunity at CG and saw their vision and culture for a completely unique bespoke commercial law offering, I was really keen to come on board and become a part of that journey.”
“I’ve also found the move from working with clients in and around Manchester to Lancashire surprisingly similar. CG’s clients and the legal demand for commercial property legal services in the area is of a high calibre and to be able to offer these services outside of the city is a great advantage for our clients. Despite the odd negative media report, the market is buoyant and we’re extremely busy and we are continuing with our rapid expansion plans.”
