Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control, the Haslingden-based manufacturer of dust and fume collection equipment, is to undergo a £2.5m expansion project which includes opening a new manufacturing facility and creating 100 jobs.
The new 40,000 sq ft site on Heywood’s Birch Business Park is due to be operational by the end of January 2013.
The division has outgrown its current home at Camfill Farr's other UK plant in Haslingden, Lancashire, where it produces air filtering machinery for offices, hospitals and schools.
Rick Kreczmer, European sales director for Camfil Farr APC, said: "We are making a significant investment in the new UK manufacturing plant to allow us to service our European customer base more effectively.
"We will be able to supply products fast while still giving customers exactly what they require for their individual applications: quality dust collection equipment, fabricated to their needs and shipped on time."
