Camerons Restaurant has been selected to deliver all the catering for the Mayor’s Civic Dinner on the 22nd of May.
This prestigious event is one of the highlights of the year for the Chorley area with local dignitaries attending the dinner to welcome the new mayor. The dinner will be hosted in the recently refurbished Lancastrian Suite in Chorley’s historic Town Hall.This is the fourth Mayor’s Civic Dinner that Camerons Restaurant will be catering for and they’re delighted to have been chosen for yet another year.
Councillor Marion Lowe, commented, “I have attended a number of events where Camerons have supplied the food and I have been very impressed over the quality and choice of the food available. I had no hesitation in picking them to cater at the Civic Dinner.”Guests on the night will include leading members of the local councils, the local MP, as well as family and friends of the Mayor.
Chris Cameron, owner of Camerons Restaurant and a renowned chef commented, “We’re thrilled to have been chosen to deliver the catering for such a prominent event. We’ve been selected purely because of our reputation combined with the food and service we have delivered over past years. We pride ourselves on cooking seasonal, locally sourced produce and are very excited with the dishes that will be served this year. We’re keen to ensure there is a broad range of food reflecting the significance of the event and catering for all tastes.”The food will comprise of a wide range of exquisite delights such as 14 day matured topside of local beef, continental meat mezze, warm chickpea stew and patatas bravas to name but a few choices, along with some delicious desserts. On the evening, there will be a team of two chefs and eight waiting staff to ensure the evening runs smoothly and efficiently.
The evening will start with the new Mayor, Councillor Marion Lowe and her consort Councillor Adrian Lowe greeting guests as they arrive, followed by the meal served by the ten strong Camerons Restaurant team. After dinner there will be two formal speeches, one from the Mayor and one from the local MP, Lindsay Hoyle. There will also be a raffle prize draw in aid of Derian House Children's Hospice, St Catherine’s Hospice and Homestart, which are the Mayor’s chosen charities for the year. Camerons Restaurant is donating a raffle prize of a voucher for a traditional 3 course Sunday lunch for four people with a bottle of wine.
