Calico Homes has completed the second phase of its Perseverance Mill development in Padiham and the residents have now moved in.
The site was formerly a derelict mill building on Albion Street which had been empty for more than a decade, attracting fly tipping and anti-social behaviour.
The £1.3m redevelopment was supported by £440,000 funding £440,000 from Homes England and created 10 apartments. A 2-bed house was reinstated and amalgamated into the existing building.
The first phase of the Perseverance Mill development, completed in 2018, provided 56 affordable family homes and won the Regeneration award at the Northwest RICS Awards in 2019.
Lisa Bell, head of development at Calico Homes, said: "The apartments provided are good quality with a modern finish, which have been popular with those who have taken on tenancies. The development was welcomed by the local council, community and residents’ association and completes the regeneration of this popular area."
