More than 200 competitors and spectators attended the first Preston City Games to be held since 2012.
Teams of businesses competed in football, rounders and netball at UCLan Sports Arena, followed by a day of golf at Ashton and Lea Golf Club.
The event was organised by Shout Connect, UCLan and Preston City, with medals handed out by the city's mayor, Coun Yakub Patel. Winners were also given a trophy and plaque.
Local businesses offered their support, with DR Bike providing free bike services and repairs, Go Velo and Lancashire E-Bikes bringing along seven e-bikes, and Jonah’s Coffee and the Falafel Express food van providing refreshments.
Lancashire County Council ran health checks and screening throughout the day.
Ian Coupe, director of Shout Connect, said: "It was a great day with a fantastic competitive spirit from all teams. Seeing businesses come together in such a fun environment was truly inspirational and very entertaining."
Dr Adrian Ibbetson, director of sport at UCLan, said: “The relaunched Preston City Games lived up to expectations; competitive, fun and well organised. The emphasis was on fair play and participation but with a bonus of bragging rights for the next 12 months over other businesses. We are already planning next year’s games.”
