Burnley College is proud to announce its participation in a ground-breaking national trial, becoming one of the first UK colleges to offer innovative modular courses for degree-level learners.

Officially the Number 1 College in England*, Burnley College is pioneering this new approach to education, offering exciting opportunities tailored to the specific needs of individuals and businesses.

This initiative underscores Burnley College’s commitment to setting new standards in giving individuals specialist skills without the financial or time commitment of a long qualification.

Study programmes are available in:

  • Big Data, Visualisation & Analytics
  • Digital Innovation & Cyber Security
  •  Mechatronics & Digital Principles
  •  Engineering Design & Quality

The modular programmes provide you will:

  • Unparalleled Flexibility: Participants handpick components of their qualifications based on the skills they require
  • Diverse Course Offerings:  Comprehensive and adaptable, suitable for many industries and levels
  • Complete Your Full Qualification Later: Learners can use their modules at a later date and continue their studies to achieve a full, nationally-recognised qualification.

Neil Burrows, director of Skills and Innovation at Burnley College, expressed his excitement for this new initiative:

"We are incredibly proud to be one of the first Colleges in the UK to trial these revolutionary Modular courses.

“This significant shift away from traditional, rigid training programmes allows us to empower individuals to take control of their professional development in a way that perfectly aligns with their specific career needs and goals and can only benefit their employers, too."

This initiative removes financial barriers and focuses learning into the specific areas employers have identified as crucial to business success.

Participants can build credits towards a full Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) at their own pace without the burden of tuition fees, enhancing their expertise and supporting career or business growth.

Courses begin soon.  For more information, search the course name at burnley.ac.uk/search or email [email protected]
