BizSocial was founded by entrepreneur Brian Morrison, who was then struggling to find networking events and expos to promote his social enterprise projects as well as his small businesses.
Many events Brian found were for private companies only, and there were no networking events or expos specifically designed to build links between businesses and social enterprises, encouraging them to come together.Brian set to work and created his own network. Today, BizSocial Enterprises runs expos and networking events, full-scale exhibitions and training workshops in Glasgow and in various towns and cities throughout Lancashire.
They include guest speakers, workshops and opportunities for delegates to meet and collaborate with new organisations. There are no joining fees at any of BizSocial Networking Clubs, only a very small monthly membership of £5.99, and members benefit from fantastic opportunities as part of their membership. Single day, all-inclusive exhibitor slots are just £199.
Brian says: “I am committed to finding new and interesting ways to get more eyes on our member businesses’ and social enterprises’ products and services.“My most recent awesome additions to the list of amazing services on offer are our digital marketing services, which includes Bluetooth Proximity Marketing.”
Proximity marketing is the localised wireless distribution of advertising content associated with a particular place.Transmissions can be received by individuals in that location who wish to receive them and have the necessary equipment to do so.
“We find new and interesting ways to get more eyes on our members’ products and services” Simply put, your business message can be broadcast to every android phone within 300 feet of a small device which can fit in your pocket. Brian adds: “You get many new eyes on your business or social enterprise without saying a single word. Sounds amazing, and it’s 100 per cent true - and it works.”Plans are already under way to expand the BizSocial Expos as well as BizSocial Networking Clubs throughout the North of England and Scotland, starting in early 2018.The annual expos, already a feature in Glasgow and in Lancashire, will soon be seen in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham as well as smaller expos in smaller towns such as Chorley and Blackpool in near future.
And because BizSocial Enterprises also delivers on its promises, staying true to its ethos, 25 per cent of all the events profits are donated to charities and charitable community projects in the towns and cities where events are held. These donations are mainly given to projects which focus on supporting those in recovery or survivors’ from addiction, mental health, homelessness, domestic abuse, child abuse and projects supporting young people coming out of care or children’s homes.
