The Briars Hall Hotel has undergone a major refurbishment programme after the owners secured a six-figure funding package.
The finance, provided by Allied Irish Bank (GB), allowed the hotel to complete the work while it was closed due to coronavirus restrictions.
The independently-owned 18th century country manor house sits in five acres of gardens and woodland. It also features a restaurant and hosts weddings and events, with an onsite beautician and hair salon.
The improvements include upgrading the exterior, resurfacing the car park and decorating rooms.
Mark Higham, operations manager of Briars Hall Hotel, said: "Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the hotel and leisure sector, and we were all hit hard by the forced closure of the business back in March. However, taking a positive approach we decided it was the ideal opportunity to undertake an extensive refurbishment programme to enhance our facilities further for our returning customers. The results have been very well received after our recent re-opening."
Jonny Beckwith, of Allied Irish Bank (GB), said: "Mark and his team have a very well established business with an excellent reputation for their attentive and friendly staff.
"They have demonstrated strength and courage during what has been a truly unprecedented and hard time for everyone, turning a negative into a positive by taking the time to refurbish the hotel to raise their standards even higher. This attitude and focus really sets the team apart at Briars Hall Hotel and is why they have a renowned reputation with their guests."
