A local collaboration between Carringtons Coffee Co and Morecambe's Accidental Brewery is being celebrated with a beer and coffee festival on Sunday 8th May, hosted by Carringtons at their Coffee Roastery in Carnforth. There will be coffee, beer, food and live music available from 1pm till 6pm.
Serving on tap from Accidental Brewery includes their "Non Barista Stout" collaboration with Carringtons Coffee Co. This coffee stout used Carringtons house roast "Doghouse" during the brewing process, combining inventive techniques to get the best possible coffee extraction and flavour to infuse with the beer. Alex from Carringtons joined Mike from Accidental to brew the coffee stout and said "there are so many similarities between coffee roasting and beer brewing but a job I really don't envy and first pointed out by Mike, is the never-ending cleaning, shovelling and washing up! It was great to collaborate and we couldn't leave it at that so we decided to host a mini festival at our Coffee Roastery. Having a factory and event space is something that breweries have been able to do for a while and we've created an inviting, community focused space at Carringtons Coffee Co in Carnforth."
A specialty coffee station, including cold coffees will be served all afternoon and there will be freshly roasted coffees available for purchase too. Or better still, why not sign up to a monthly coffee subscription and get a new specialty coffee delivered every month? Carringtons Coffee Club
This un-ticketed free event is for all ages and dog friendly too. There will be parking available on site but the coffee roastery is only a short 5 minute walk from Carnforth rail station. Lancaster based Wrap Ninjas will be providing street food from their food truck and live music will be performed by Suzy and Alex, who also happen to be the couple behind Carringtons Coffee Co.
