Bakeware has fast become an important part of What More UK's business since the UK's leading plastics homewares manufacturer took the decision to diversify in 2014.
And now a new member of staff is focusing on growing bakeware sales to independent cookshops in the south of the UK.David Brett, What More UK's new sales representative for the South of England, brings with him over 20 years of retail and wholesale experience within a family business in Ireland. With previous roles in kitchenware and catering equipment, he also brings established contacts and is looking forward to developing more as he grows What More UK's bakeware customer base.
David Brett commented: "Home baking has changed dramatically in the last decade, on the back of the popularity of The Great British Bake Off. Many home bakers are also using the likes of Pinterest and baking blogs to gather inspiration for their bakes."They strive for perfect results every time and in our foolproof PushPan range we've got the products to help achieve them. This innovative, award-winning range of loose-bottomed cake tins with silicone seals allows anyone to bake with ease and produce cakes of the highest quality.
"Already I'm finding that our customers old and new appreciate the quality, service, professionalism and innovation that What More provides. I'm excited about the new PushPan sizes we will be showcasing at Spring Fair next month, and to meeting new customers."The business also produces its Wham Cook non-stick and vitreous enamel bakeware at its purpose-built manufacturing facility in Altham, close to Burnley in Lancashire. A complementary range of Wham Cook utensils and kitchen gadgets is also available.
Tony Grimshaw, director of What More UK, said: "Bakeware sales are a key driver of What More's growth. In late 2016 we enjoyed some of our busiest months on bakeware, securing some significant retail listings for Wham Cook and PushPan products and producing a bespoke product for a major grocery multiple."This success is having a significant impact on What More's turnover and undoubtedly justifies our move into bakeware. David Brett's appointment shows further commitment to our innovations in this area." What More UK is also Britain's leading manufacturer of plastic homewares. The business has a portfolio of more than 700 products: plastic housewares, gardening and DIY products sold under the trusted and value-for-money Wham brand
