An experienced travel agent manager from Todmorden has returned to the branch where she began her managerial career almost 20 years ago.
Carole Hallows 48, started her career with Althams Travel in 1983 on the Youth Training Scheme. After progressing within the company, holding positions at various Althams’ branches, she has returned to Littleborough to help grow the business.Eddie Starkie, managing director said: “Carole is an instrumental part of the community here at Althams Travel; leading on her experience within the industry ensures she is able to share her knowledge with the wider team.
“The move to Littleborough is a great one for both Carole and the team; she has already implemented a number of positive changes and has plenty of ideas for the future.”Carole was chief clerk at the Todmorden branch, before being promoted to assistant manager; after this she managed Littleborough in 1996, and was then moved to Bury to manage a larger branch.
Eddie and a number of senior members of the Althams team, including Carole, from the company’s ‘advisory committee’ are dedicated to holding meetings every four to six weeks, in order to discuss the company, keep in touch with the branches, iron out any issues and generally look at ways of developing and moving forward. “Working for Althams is an absolute honour, I’ve seen the company go from strength to strength over the years, and I’m looking forward to working with my new team and continuing the growth of the Littleborough branch,” said Carole.
