Bleep UK PLC supplied an EPOS solution, consisting of more than 160 terminals, for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
After successful installs this summer at the Open Championship and the World Cup in Brazil, both the Bleep TS-915 and TS-910 all in one EPOS terminals were deployed in the stores. Each terminal featured built in laser scanners, interactive POS Media video displays, integrated Ingenico payment devices and thermal receipt printers.
Bleep secured this contract on the back of its high profile, proven event retail experience since the London 2012 Olympic Games. Each EPOS terminal in all of the 40 retail units open across the city and in the venues, had to be robust and reliable enough to cope in this fast paced environment. The majority of tills were operating from early in the morning until late at night, with little respite from paying customers, especially in the 12,500 sq ft superstore in George Square in the heart of Glasgow.
