Traffic management hire specialist Blakedale has expanded into a larger home at Buckshaw Village.
The new 18,000 sq ft facility includes a new workshop and office space, and will help to facilitate the continued expansion of both the hire fleet and the service and repair division of this rapidly expanding business.
The family-owned business currently operates approximately 350 vehicles and plans to add 40 more this year. It has also launched a repair and maintenance offering for clients.
The predicted growth in demand will come in part from the government's increased expenditure, with Highways England recently announcing a £27bn investment programme.
Jonathan Smith, director, said: "During lockdown the majority of our staff worked from home which gave us the opportunity to finish the office refurb and we now have a fantastic new home for all our workforce.
"We are currently recruiting further technicians which will give us nationwide 24 hour coverage – we are also adding to our office function to cope with the increased fleet size and demand for our services."
