Blackpool lad crowned global numbers guru

A trainee accountant for one of Lancashire’s leading firms has joined a roll-call of elite accountancy talent after scoring top marks on a global exam.

Of those to be awarded the global prize from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Ben was the only North West learner to achieve full marks.

“It’s great that all my hard work has finally paid off,” said Ben.

“There’s often a perception that accounting is a monotonous profession, when in fact, it’s filled with enthusiastic, passionate individuals that are driven to succeed.

David Hardy, director at Champion Accountants, added: “Ben’s achievement demonstrates that the North West possesses world-class talent and puts Blackpool on the map for accountancy accomplishments. “Over the past two years we’ve witnessed Ben’s impressive progress from a fresh-faced college graduate to a highly-skilled junior accountant and we’re extremely proud to have him part of the Champion team.”
