The Blackpool sweet giant now has the license to manufacture and market the new chewy bon bons in the UK.
Vimto Bon Bons will be made from the secret Vimto recipe and contain real fruit juice. In addition, they are said to be softer to eat than traditional versions which Tangerine believes fits the shift in market tastes.
The sweets represent just one of the mouth-watering new products to be rolling off the Tangerine production line this year. The Wham bar and Highliand Toffee will soon follow suit, following the acquisition of the brands from Millar McCowan’s last year.
Helen Hartley, Tangerine's marketing manager, said: "Vimto is top quality, so couple this with the well-established Vimto brand proposition, the nation’s unabated love for traditional sweet shop confectionery and our proven track record of producing some of Britain’s best loved sweets and we have a winning combination.”
James Nichols, Vimto brand licensing manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be adding Tangerine as a licensee for Vimto.”
