Hangar 3 at Blackpool Airtport has teamed up with DAM Health to become the first airport in the North West Airport to offer 2019 Covid Rapid PCR Assay Tests.
Test can be administered at the hangar's private medical facility, or at home via courier.
Trained health professionals will undertake the tests which include analysis for SARS COV 2, which is the virus which causes COVID19. Those cleared will be provided with Fit to Fly or Fit to Work Certificates signed by Professor Franklin Joseph.
The service has been introduced for the growing number of Independent Aircraft Movements at Blackpool Airport, but is also available to travellers who need such certification from wherever they embark in the North West.
Additionally, Hangar 3 will also make available ‘Arrival Testing’ for passengers entering the UK independently. This will reduce the current quarantine period (outside travel corridors) to five days.
