Goose Foot Street Furniture, part of the WEC Group, has helped add to Blackburn town centre's floral displays with new distinctive aluminium signage, helping to celebrate the town's gold medal in last year's NW in Bloom competition.
The town recently hosted judges from the national Britain in Bloom competition where Blackburn is in the running for a medal in the BID category of the competition. The judges said they were “wowed” by the displays the saw in Blackburn and the flowers that greeted them as they arrived at Blackburn train station were the best they had seen anywhere.
Judges Bill Blackledge and Brian Whalley from NW in Bloom were shown the work of the BID's Adopt-a-Pot scheme, where local businesses have agreed to display flowers outside their shops, whilst taking on their watering and care themselves.
