Lancashire Business View is working with University Centre at Blackburn College on an exclusive new project to promote the college’s higher-level apprenticeships and professional courses to businesses in the region.
University Centre at Blackburn College will utilise the magazine’s established links with leading Lancashire organisations to raise awareness of the benefits of apprenticeships and to increase the number of sign-ups for its courses.
Higher level apprenticeships are an ideal way for companies to upskill their existing workforce, both supporting organisational growth and enabling individuals to advance their own career goals.
University Centre at Blackburn College offers fully funded programmes, enabling employers to utilise the scheme without financial commitment.
The college's operations / departmental manager apprenticeship is aimed at developing the skills-sets of management-level employees.
Claire Shore, senior business development manager at University Centre at Blackburn College, said: “Increasingly businesses ask us to support their middle managers, department or divisional heads.
“We are passionate about supporting businesses to develop their teams so we are delighted to be launching our operations / departmental manager apprenticeship with a new suite of learning resources which really maximises the potential for managers to embed their own development whilst achieving positive impact on their business.
“This complements our established programme of professional training in leadership, human resources, finance and marketing.”
Stephen Bolton, commercial director of Lancashire Business View, said: “One of the biggest challenges facing Lancashire businesses today is finding and retaining employees with the right skills for the job. Apprenticeships, from entry-level to the more advanced courses, are the solution and University Centre at Blackburn College has an impressive record of delivering them to great effect.
“We are pleased that University Centre at Blackburn College has chosen to work with us on this new, first-of-its-kind project, and we look forward to facilitating fruitful and mutually beneficial connections on their behalf. Getting conversations started and encouraging organisations to work with each other is what we’re all about.”
Claire added: “Lancashire Business View was the obvious choice for us to partner with on this project. As one of the leading voices in the area for business professionals, they know what makes Lancashire businesses ‘tick’.
“They’re a trusted team within the business community and are connected with key decision-makers across the county. We’ve worked with the team at Lancashire Business View for over 15 years.
