Blackburn Audi receptionist Taylor Dobson is taking on a month-long challenge to raise money and awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis.
Taylor who joined the Blackburn Audi team in March 2023 decided to take the Crohn’s and Colitis Big Winter Workout this month.
Diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in February 2021, Taylor has felt first-hand the impact of this invisible illness, when she found out about the Big Winter Workout, Taylor thought she would give the challenge a try by walking for 31 minutes each day for 31 days straight.
Talking to us about the impact of Crohn’s disease, Taylor told us about how difficult everyday tasks, like regular exercising, can be.
“It can take a toll on your day-to-day life, whether that’s in work or socially. The challenge is something that seemed manageable for my condition, and I’m enjoying it so far. Getting out for a walk each day, even in the dark, wet, and sometimes icy weather, has had a positive impact on my days, it’s something I’m hoping to keep up once the month is over.”
Raising awareness of Crohn’s is something that Taylor is keen to do, highlighting that things such as stress, anxiety or being overly tired can cause a flare-up.
Setting her goal to raise £125, Taylor has surpassed this with donations currently sitting at £272.
Swansway Motor Group and Blackburn Audi would like to congratulate Taylor for smashing her target before the month is over!
