Family-owned Farmhouse Biscuits has appointed the Blackburn office of Beever and Struthers as its accountant and business advisor, meanwhile across town PM+M will serve Moorhouses's Brewery.
The renowned biscuit firm, based in Nelson, will call on Beever and Struthers to provide key services such as payroll, monthly management accounts, audit, specialist personal and business tax advice and general tax planning.
Husband and wife Philip and Dorothy McIvor turned their kitchen operation into a full-time business in 1973, and today it employs 250 staff at the 200,000 sq ft facility. Philip McIvor, in his 83rd year, remains chairman and four generations are employed throughout its ranks.
Burnley-based Moorhouse’s Brewery has appointed PM+M - the chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management group – as its new accountants and tax advisers.
PM+M will now handle its bookkeeping, VAT returns, credit control, beer duty forms, monthly management information, payroll, year-end statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, research and development submissions as well deliver company secretarial services.
