To celebrate the NHS, Blackburn based charity ELHT&Me have collaborated with Rossendale creatives Bigtank to raise awareness and funds for the Big NHS Walk taking place on 26th September.
The charity encourages staff and the public to raise funds to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. The Bigtank team joined ELHT&Me, along with their mascot Elmore the Bear, on a jaunt around Blackburn town centre capturing Elmore’s preparations for the big day which will be used as part of a social media strategy rolling out across September.
The video series will feature some of the best bits of the walking route along with some insight into the positive effect fundraising so far has had on the cause, including funds for state-of-the-art robotic technology and a children’s ward playground.
While Covid has kept many indoors the Big NHS Walk is part of an initiative to get the community out again, together in a safe and healthy way and the ongoing efforts to fund vital technology for East Lancashire’s medical profession. The videos capture the fun and inspiration behind the cause and will be available to view on the charity’s Facebook page and delegates can sign up to the walk at: https://elht.nhs.uk/big-nhs-walk.
