Leading commercial energy supplier BES Utilities has unveiled a new-look management team as part of its latest major recruitment drive.
The Fleetwood-based company, which supplies gas and electricity to more than 40,000 businesses across the UK, has created a number of key new roles covering such areas as IT, recruitment, HR and staff development.
BES Utilities co-founder and director Michelle Davidson said: “Our business has grown significantly over the past few years and that is why we are expanding our teams to ensure we offer a first rate customer service.
“Over the past decade we have grown from a small independent supplier into a group of companies which now employ more than 450 staff here in Fleetwood which is not only great for BES but for the Wyre and North Lancashire economy.”
The new team includes:Catherine Hilton, group HR manager, has more than 10 years’ experience working in Contact Centres as HR Manager for Fuel Card Services, Sitel and LBM. Prior to this she worked in the social housing refurbishment sector as head of HR and as a regional HR manager for ADT Fire & Security.
,Andrew Aris, head of development, has worked in software development for more than a decade, the last five years with utilities cost recovery company Professional Cost Management Group Limited.
Daniel Worth, head of IT support, has 13 years’ experience working in the IT industry, predominately in the public sector. He also ran his own IT company providing support to SMEs and more recently worked in IT at Blackpool Borough Council.
Nathan Jefferson, recruitment manager, will be responsible for managing recruitment within the BES group of companies and the development of staff. Prior to joining, he owned his own recruitment agency within the hospitality and leisure sector.
The BES group, which includes BES Commercial Electricity, BES Commercial Gas, BES Telecom and Fleetwood Town FC, now has a workforce of more than 450 staff, making it one of the largest private sector employers on the Fylde coast. As well as competitive pricing BES prides itself in being at the forefront of the drive to rollout free smart meters which give electricity customers real-time information on their energy usage. To date, more than 70% of BES electricity customers have a smart meter.
