Housebuilder Bellway Manchester turned pink for charity during the month of October, with its popular development, Grey Gables Farm on Brindle Road in Bamber Bridge, raising £1,662 for Breast Cancer UK.
Josh Holmes, Bellway’s sales advisor at Grey Gables Farm, hosted afternoon tea at the development inviting residents and interested purchasers to attend. Having dressed the sales and marketing suite in pink, and with a fabulous pink free flow balloon display at the entrance of the development, all guests were encouraged to bake a cake and bring it along.
The event was a great success. Tracy Proctor and Moreblessing Mandangu, both residents at Grey Gables Farm, were chosen by Susannah Shorrock, Bellway’s sales manager, as the joint winners of the cake competition, each receiving a £75 gift voucher. Tracy’s delicious Halloween-themed carrot cake and Moreblessing’s mouth-watering red velvet sponge cake really impressed guests.
Josh says: “Hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness event was a wonderful way to reconnect with residents at Grey Gables Farm, as well as spend time getting to know potential purchasers. It was a really relaxed afternoon, and all the cakes were superb, but the Fiona Taylor’s millionaire shortcake slices were my favourite!”
In addition to the event at Grey Gables Farm, Bellway Manchester hosted a series of events for Breast Cancer UK during October at Marmalade at the Jam Factory in Droylsden, Royal Bowland Park in Westhoughton and Park Gate Village in Knutsford.
Josh concludes: “Being involved in the local community is so important to Bellway and we are thrilled to have raised £1662 for such an important cause.”
There is currently a selection of two bedroom bungalows, as well as three and four bedroom homes available at Grey Gables Farm, with prices starting from £249,995. With two stunning show homes to view, a visit to the development is a must, open seven days a week. For further information, please call 01772 341547 or visit www.bellway.co.uk.
