To celebrate the end of term and start of the summer holidays, Bellway made a donation of £250 to St Aidan’s Church of England Primary School on Larch Grove in Bamber Bridge.
With reading such an important part of education, the donation has been used to purchase new books for the school library
Bellway’s Grey Gables Farm development is just a short drive from St Aidan’s, and after months of missed school due to the pandemic, the housebuilder was keen to make a positive contribution to the school which benefited the pupils before they finished for summer.
Hollie Reynolds, sales director at Bellway Manchester, says: “Reading is an integral part of a child’s education so the more variety of books available in the school library, the better. With the summer holidays fast approaching, we wanted to make a monetary donation to St Aidan’s so that the school can enhance its book collection for pupils of all ages to enjoy.”
Leanne Finch, headteacher at St Aidan’s Church of England Primary School, adds: “We were thrilled to receive Bellway’s kind donation and will purchase a brilliant selection of new books for the school library, as well as replace the popular books that have suffered wear and tear. Reading is so important within the school for the educational development of our children so these new books will be much appreciated.”
There is a selection of three and four bedroom homes currently under construction at Grey Gables Farm, which is located on Brindle Road in Bamber Bridge. Prices start from £194,995, with new releases expected in the coming weeks.
