Barnfield Construction has submitted a planning application for its proposed £11m Advance Point Business Park in Burnley.
The Nelson-based business says that the 11-acre site on Rossendale Road will be developed in two phases.
Phase one will consist of 36 industrial units starting in size from 2100 sq ft and will offer larger units for both sale and rental.
The contractor, developer and investor, which is behind 40 million sq ft of industrial space across the North West, says proposals for phase two will be also be considered during 2020.
Barnfield’s managing director Tim Webber said: “We are hugely excited to be bringing forward these proposals.
“Situated between junctions 9 and 10 of the M65, this site offers strong connectivity for business and significant opportunity to relocate or expand in a modern and well thought through development.”
Commercial property agents Trevor Dawson have been appointed to market the scheme.
Director Michael Cavannagh said: “There has been a lack of speculative development along the M65 in recent years.
“However, the market has moved on and there is pent up demand for schemes such as Advance Point which will be a great asset to the market.”
