Barnfield Construction has recruited 15 new employees, including five site managers, five site staff/engineers, a health and safety manager, an estimator, a quantity surveyor/project manager and two apprentices.
The recruitment drive follows a string of successful contracts won over the past year which include Farmhouse Biscuits in Nelson, Stanley House Spa in Mellor The University Technical College at Weavers Triangle, Burnley and Memorial Hall in Manchester.
Barnfields new contracts equate to over 1.5 million square feet of mixed use floor space.
Meanwhile there were a number of highly-ranked construction companies in Lancashire Business View’s Hot 100, including Garside & Laycock of Preston, Blackpool’s Tyson Construction and BAAS Construction of Blackburn.
The Hot 100 is an annual feature which lists the most profitable SMEs in the county and can be found in the July/August edition.
