A popular Barley village pub made a toast alongside friends, family and villagers as it celebrated two years since opening.
The Barley Mow, part of the award-winning Seafood Pub Company group, held a second birthday bash with complimentary Prosecco and canapes.Jemma McAnespie, marketing manager of the Seafood Pub Company said: “We wanted to do something special to mark our second birthday celebrations and thought this would be a great chance to get everyone involved.
“The Barley Mow has gone from strength to strength since opening and we can’t thank all our customers enough. We’re really looking forward to a busy Christmas period and the start of another exciting year.”The Barley Mow underwent a complete refurbishment in 2014 and now has hunting lodge style interiors complete with roaring fires and six stunning country bedrooms.
The site was the sixth to come under the Seafood Pub Company brand, with the group now boasting ten sites in total, including the Assheton Arms in Downham, the Forest in Fence and the Roosters Bistro in Higham.Guests at the birthday celebrations were invited to join in the celebrations from 5.30pm until 7pm; by 6pm the venue was full and there was a busy, bustling atmosphere with many staying later on into the evening to enjoy more food and drink.
Canapes on the evening included duck spring rolls, lamb kofta kebabs, spicy panko prawns, chocolate brownies and fruit kebabs to name a few.Jemma added: “We’d like to thank everyone who came along to the birthday bash, we had a fantastic night and hope to see lots of faces back in the near future.” Not to be missed in December is the Barley Christmas Grotto, perfect to enjoy the festive menu with family and friends. So perfect, Santa himself will visit not once but twice for our Santa Suppers on Thursday 15th and Thursday 22nd from 5-7pm. Children get their chance to visit Santa, have supper and receive a special present.
