Businesswomen across Lancashire are being urged to take part in this year’s She Inspires Awards which recognise amazing women.
For 2021 for the first time, the awards – which began in Bolton seven years ago - are being extended to the rest of the country and the rest of the world.
In the first week of opening for nominations, they received more than 120 including from as far afield as Australia.
The awards’ night will be held at Bolton Whites Hotel on November 25. Last December they were held virtually with Strictly Come Dancing host Kelvin Fletcher hosting. The awards were watched in more than 50 countries and had more than 3,000 views.
Stated founder and organiser Gulnaz Brennan: “We cannot wait to celebrate inspiring women everywhere, highlighting stories of achievement, compassion and courage.
“We know there is a wealth of remarkable women right across Lancashire – many of them in business – who have an inspirational story to tell and we would love to hear all about them.”
The awards cover 18 categories with a wide cross-section including education, social care, hospitality, media and the arts. This year, six of the awards are open globally including the Culture Champion Award, the Rising Star Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
