Founder and managing director Laura was crowned ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the 2018 Sub36 Awards – an annual event that honours Lancashire’s most influential, innovative and inspiring people aged 36 and under.
Now, Fresh Perspective is joining forces with fellow award winners Cruise1st to assist them with a strategic recruitment drive that will see a further 50 cruise specialists join their ranks.“Cruise1st are an absolute dream client for us, as we’re venturing into the travel sector for the first time and wanted to assist a company that’s really going places!” said Laura.
Cruise1st, which currently has 90 employees serving its HQ at Salford Quays’ Lowry Outlet, was honoured at this year’s ‘Fastest 50’ – an initiative that recognises the outstanding business achievements of the fastest-growing and most profitable companies across the North of England.“We are proud to be a thriving business that’s in a position to expand its wonderful team,” said Dale Sourbutts, head of call centres at Cruise1st.
“We already have a strong crew in place and are now searching for candidates with experience of the cruise industry – as well as customer service, sales and team leadership – to fill the new roles we have created."Cruise1st’s strapline is ‘Second to None’, so we will be working closely with the new recruits and moulding them into specialists that best represent our brand and values; to do that however, we wanted to work with the right recruitment business from the get-go.
‘Following a recommendation, we met with Fresh Perspective and were extremely impressed by their originality, positivity and willingness to learn about who we are and what we stand for.”Cruise1st were established in 1999 and have provided high-quality cruise holidays to their customers since then. They have recently launched a Sky digital channel offering all-inclusive and introductory first-time cruises to suit a range of budgets and tastes.
“We especially love that Dale and his team invited us to spend time with the existing crew, so we could get to know what kind of candidate makes for a perfect cultural fit,” added Laura.“Roles are available for team members who wish to work within the dynamic atmosphere of MediaCityUK or remotely from home, so we are pleased to be offering opportunities to candidates that are both flexible and inclusive.
‘The upbeat, positive vibe in their office is exactly how we operate at Fresh; as a recruitment business, we’re making waves in our sector, so who better to work with than a UK-leading provider of cruise holidays?” PHOTO CAPTION: (From left:) Jane Campbell, Gill Lomas, Laura Leyland, Dale Sourbutts, Emily Leyland, Jodie Doyle and Debbie Rypel
