A Lancashire motorcycle enthusiast has completed the Dakar Rally 2017 after a Preston company helped by supplying components for the new powerful, lightweight bike.
Making it all the more challenging, Lyndon competed without the aid of a support crew, undertaking his own repairs and modifications at the end of each day, before bedding down for the night in his tent - all while documenting the adventure for a new film.
Poskitt first undertook the Dakar Rally in 2013, with Attwater helping to build a more efficient bike for his second attempt. So far, he's travelled almost 100,000 miles across 50 countries in five continents on the bike.
"Their experience in this field was a massive help and the total weight of the bike is down 10% from 2013, which improves handling and reduces rider fatigue."
